Thankfully Medievel Total War II is still good fun... I mean they only really upgraded graphics and units, but at least the game didn't turn into a crap Sonicesque franchise.... yet.

N3k74r .... you need to stop playing video games and get out more, maybe make a couple of real friends and enjoy some human contact beyond your Counter-Strike and Halo buddies.

Just beat gears of war and have played through all the multiplayer maps like a madman... so I'm a bit tired of it till they get out new maps... if.

Right now its Zelda and Rayman for me... occasionally trama center but im not feeling it right now, and have yet to open up my Monkey Ball package!

I was having the same problem... I couldnt even find an extra wireless controller in DC... so I turned to online, and Amazon was out of both Nunchucks and Wireless controllers.

But Gameasylum.com apparently has enough in stock, I ordered 2 nunchucks and 2 wireless controllers as well as 1 classic controller on that site... I figure I'll wait a bit for availability before I get my last set.. plus I felt bad enough buying two already with the shortages... so I figured someone somewhere may benifit from me not buying my fourth set.

Or a bunch of college students just got drunk/bored and decided to pick on the campers outside, seeing as they are such easy picking and the butt of jokes around the street as people pass by.

I thought this was going to be a great month for gaming... but it seems we've just hit one of its ugliest moments.

Less actual gamers are getting the systems on launch then resellers looking to make triple profits off sales. I don't know what is sadder, the fact that this practice is occuring to such degrees, or that there are actually enough rich assholes out there willing to put down 2000+ for a system on launch.... I mean, nothing against rich people, I was born into a well off family... but come on, what the heck is going on???

Chinese immigrants buy the system and sell them to fat cats for pennies, who then inflate the price and sell it to end users willing to pay a premium... Kotoku's report on this shook me up... The ugly side of the gaming industry.

I think the Single Player in the game is a big Yawn myself... actually, the only thing that keeps me playing it is just the fact that I want to get it over with, I want the achievment points, and I don't mind practicing my aim on bots once in a while.

The online componant has bugs.. I haven't been able to get in a ranked match yet, occasionally if I get killed in a multiplayer match the whole game throws me into a black loading screen that I can't get out of unless I exit to dashboard... and the way its setup (people can enter and exit any time they please) often leads to teams quickly becoming dispraportionate over the course of 2-3 matchs. Which means you either have to try to get everyone to self regulate and play fair, or just leave the server all together and look for an almost full server.

But aside from those annoying quirks, I find it to be completly engrossing when I'm playing... in fact, the only real reason I'd give Call of Duty an 8/10 is just because the multiplayer is damn fun.... sort of a mix of battlefield 1942 and call of duty. The game is fast paced, it requires some level of cooperation, and if one team is a bit better organized then the other, it can turn ugly quite quickly.

I play a medic normally, and there is nothing more satisfying then rushing around in the aftermath of a heavy artillery strike, in the middle of smog spewing out of smoke canisters, under sniper and machine gun fire, with three other medics running around trying to revive people who are hollering over the mic trying to explain exactly where they are. The multiplayer is a rush... the good kind. So though I'm going to be enjoying gears of war pretty much all day tomorrow, I know I'm going to pop back on this game at some point this weekend just to rampage online.
