Well this sucks. I was hoping for a PSO sequel, not a free to play game where I have to buy weapons and armor.
I want to pay you the $50 for the game, and $10 for the monthly fee and be done with it. I'm not going to pay every time I want to get new class or gun.
Man... PSO was the greatest game of all time. I really wish this "F2P" craze would die already...
Agreed. Halo is about starting on equal footing and then using the terrain and battlefield to collect the weapons and equipment you want. This CoD nonsense of unlocking weapons that you can start with needs to stay out of Halo.
Agreed. You know what sucks about Digital Distribution? Not being able to play stuff you buy a mere 3 years later.
Bungie released the Blastacular Map Pack for Halo 2 in Spring 2007. I bought two copies for my two XBL accounts. Not even three years later, the Xbox 1 service goes offline, and these maps are no longer accessible unless you downloaded them before the service was taken down. Not to mention I can't play them online anymore despite continuing to pay for Xbox Live.
What makes anyone think the DLC they buy for Fallout 3 will be accessible 8 years from now? What happens when your HDD breaks and you want to play through Fallout 3 again? Too bad, you can't use any of the stuff you paid for through digital distribution.
"What is it about Apple stores that makes you buy stuff there instead of Best Buy or Target?"
I wouldn't.
The Apple stores are the worst retail experience possible. What's so great about waltzing into a walk-in tanning booth to be surrounded by two dozen forced enthusiasm sales people that won't shut up about how "awesome" time machine is? All the while, all there is to look at are their core products because the selection of add-ons and accessories is pathetic not to mention insanely overpriced. 6 And for their core products? They're the same price everywhere else, so if you have to buy Apple, you might as well buy it at a retailer that doesn't suck ass.

Lost in translation: Microsoft retail stores not matching Apple success?
