Homebrew lets you use keyboard with PSP

Mar 21st 2007 1:03PM (Joystiq Playstation)
The website is in French? That doesn't bode well for troubleshooting. I really wish they'd provide a list of known compatible keyboards. Guess I'll just scour the forums hoping someone will post their experiences. I've long been dreaming of using a keyboard on my psp... and I'm ITCHING to try it out.

Correction, famitsu.com's website stated these things.

The mob lines up for Monster Hunter

Feb 23rd 2007 11:48AM (Joystiq Playstation)
Kotaku says there were over 140 people lined up at the store when it opened at 9:25am, and by 11am the line was still so long that it went out the store. Looks like there were 3 products total... the Monster Hunter "gold" PSP, the Monster Hunter accessory pack (UMD case & headphones?), and the game itself, of course. The store also had a sign up front that stated they were ONLY selling Monster Hunter 2 that day. I'm definitely psyched about this game myself. We need more MMO's for the PSP.

Exploit found in all PSPs, up to 3.03; downgrader coming soon!

Jan 26th 2007 10:49AM (Joystiq Playstation)
Pixelator - Downgraded psp's can easily emulate the newest firmwares... hence the 3.03 OE firmwares that Dark_Alex keeps creating. They allow you to play the new games, get the new firmware features, and yet still retain homebrew capabilities!

Let the sun shine in!! Now if only Sony would pull the stick out of their ass and let us run homebrew without hacking the firmwares.

Huzzah!

So bad it's good

I may invoke the wrath of some fanboys, but I think "Me & My Katamari" is horrible on the PSP. With the main purpose being to collect items of a specific type, and the psp screen being so small, it is pretty much impossible to select the specific items you're supposed to collect. I've only made it through by fumbling & luck, myself. But as a general rule, I try my damndest to avoid wasting my money on bad games.

Oh, nice cosplay pic of Softon!

Convert YouTube videos for PSP really easily

Jan 17th 2007 10:44AM (Joystiq Playstation)
I tried that "any-video-converter" program first, but it is shareware and burn it's web address into all your converted videos. I wasn't too impressed with the quality, either. pspvideo9 doesn't mention this in their documentatin, but I was able to convert my videos with it into my preferred 16:9 widescreen format. Now, if they'd just update their converter for 3.0+ firmware.

That game look sooooo sweet. I'd definitely buy it on release day.

A PSP video solution

Jan 16th 2007 4:29PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Full screen is easily done using pspvideo9 or pspenc. But you're right in that full resolution cannot be attained until there's a firmware update. Meh, not like I want to waste that much memory stick space on a hi-res video anyways. Maybe after the 32Gb drive comes out... then we'll talk. XD
