Well this leaves shag all of a choice in Ireland if gamestop do indeed buy game. I would rather see it die than be sold to those asshats but that's just me, either way I guess HMV will be my bricks and mortar shop for games.

Awh man, I've been a game customer since I started gaming. This sounds like the beginning of the end for them, I'll be sad to see them go. Their prices on new games were always good and so was the amount of credit offered on trade ins. The staff were always friendly, helpful and most importantly interested! They would even order games that they wouldn't normally stock ever. If game pulls out of the Irish market then all we've got is bloody gamestop, I shudder at the thought of giving them my custom.
