Ha not surprising at least I worked at a company before that was largely based in china and I can tell you that copyright infringment is a totaly foreign concept for them. The chineese division would consistantly send us fakes, substandard parts, and present new discoveries that were actually just plagurized copies of published works
Well the real question is what location are you looking at. Im gonna take a guess and say that the PS3 will probably sell out in major cities by the end of the day, but its not going to do so well in rural markets and especialy in the central states. But then again i live in seattle and theres way more gamers here per capita that most other cities.
I dont ususaly like to tell you I told ya so... but yeah. Hype is bad mkay? You probably should have defused the situation sooner and not let it escalate this far since it sets a bad precedent. But ill be content if you guys promise not to pull this sort of shit in the future.
#483 no you are wrong at midnight this thread either turns into a massive flamewar or it contiues on with people posting their excitement about the upcoming wii and how they cant wait to get their hands on one after XXX information is released.
Yeah have you ever been inside one? They had one on display at PAX last year and I got to go inside one and let me tell you it aint all its cracked up to be. Infact you suffer from the same issues a hamster inside a ball suffers from. Mainly that you cant stop going once you start (actually a common cause of death for hamsters). That ball is probably around 200 pounds at least so once it gets going if you just stop or try to change direction your going to fall. It works alright it you take really small steps but as soon as you go too fast (walking speed was too fast) the ball will begin to accelerate which forces you to go faster and accelerate the ball more. Point being besidges the fact that its huge the whole not being able to stop thing probably means you wont be seeing one anytime soon.
When you make an anoucement like this you better keep in mind your staking joystiq's reputation on this being big news. If it comes out tomorrow that the news is something minor like an xbox 360 price drop or some minor new or missing wii feature you are going to lose readers (myself included). As of right now I have no reason to doubt its something big like an unexpected Wii price and street date (and no a $250 pricetag and a NOV 15th street date wouldnt really be big news since its what were assuming anyway at the moment) or a FF game or some other major sony exclusive coming to the 360. So all I have to say is you placed your stakes and the readers have called your hand so if you come up short there will likely be concequences.
You guys do realize that MAC addresses are not unique right? Due to the limitied # of possible addresses companies have started to create devices with duplicate MAC addresses.
