Dead Space 2 producer confirms Sprawl, doesn't sweat Schofield departure

Um...the first Dead Space tells you to use enemy limbs as weapons during the loading screens. Did the developers just forget what they put into the first game, or are they planning on emphasizing that aspect of play?

I'll admit that I tried using telekinesis to use enemy limbs, fan blades, and other objects as weapons during the first game, but they were simply ineffective compared to exploding canisters and your usual weapons. I was really hoping for a HL2 Ravenholm sawblade moment with some of the vicious looking items, but they just didn't work very well.

Rock Band Weekly: Foo Fighters album; Harmonix announces Track Pack Vol. 2

Nov 6th 2008 3:12PM (Joystiq)
Freakin' Sweet!

I'm a big fan of the Fighters of the Foo, and The Color and the Shape is on my short list of most awesome albums EVAR. Waaaay back when they first announced full album downloads for Rock Band, I had my fingers crossed for this one to make the list.

I will have to spend a week just replaying this album straight through with each different instrument!

This is especially pleasing after the "Not Quite Nevermind" album released earlier...

Born for Wii: Mega Man Legends

Sep 24th 2008 12:55PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I didn't play this, but I watched a friend in college play through a lot of it. I think the idea's got a lot of potential, even if the first PSX attempt didn't work out perfectly.

Really, I don't see this as being much different than the shift from Super Metriod to Metriod Prime, which worked out very well. In fact, I can't help but think of Mega Man as I play through the Prime series and collect weapons from the bosses I defeat!

A 3rd person shooter that's a little more platforming heavy with upgradeable guns would be great. It could fill an excellent niche between Mario, Metroid and Zelda on the Wii.

Virtually Free: Mega Man 9

I like the Rockman 4 (Playstation, Japan) cover art. Mega man looks determined to defeat the ominous evil robot army! I'd tap that...A button...um...to, ya'know, fire the mega-buster and stuff... Yeah...
