Facebook will be fine without Zynga. I don't think Zynga will be as good without facebook. The motivation for this move is probably due to Facebooks 30% cut of all transactions using the facebook credit program. It is always tough to get people to put their cc info into yet another service so this will hurt Zynga pretty substantially if it doesn't pay off.
fun tide me over til next weeks DD release. It should have come out a couple months ago though to keep from being overshadowed. It does feel nice and polished though, just light on features that DD is promising to have.
@Jennacide HA, an example of a 3d environment working in a browser? As you said, it isn't working and it isn't the game. How about you wait to champion something when it is a little more than a poorly rendered tech demo. Unreal engine 3 is vastly superior to what this is showing although this is pretty impressive from a technical standpoint. What exactly is it you have against flash anyways? Or are you just spouting the same bs arguments that have no real grounding. Valve getting right on that, that's rich. Don't worry, I am sure this is exactly what they have been waiting for so they can build episode 3.
Actually having some hands on time with the game makes me very hopeful. It gets the fun factor of the competitive pvp aspect right and I would probably play just the pvp portion as a fully released game. Dying to play the pve portion. Red 5 is also one of the more transparent developers I have ever seen. They do a great job of making their presence known on the forums and give as much as they can as far as status and direction. Don't discount the game just because you other have failed on the promise.
@Jennacide Apple and microsoft also have competing products in the market with the istore/iads and silverlight. You don't see that weird coincidence? Last I checked non flash applications were getting hacked every day and security is just an illusion anyways.
