Amazon price matches Portal 2 discounts on 360 and PC, drops Mortal Kombat to $40
May 1st 2011 12:55PM (Joystiq)You should have purchased a $20 PSN or XBL card. That week you also got $10 off of either of those. So it would have been $130 for two games, $20 in points and a $60 credit towards something else.
(You could have also bought two cards that week and gotten $40 of MS Points for $20.)

Mar 9th 2011 1:14AM (TUAW.com)I have a 2007 MBP that dropped (the freaking shoulder strap on my case snapped off and it hit the ground!) an when the video card died sometime in 2009, Apple wouldn't touch it because of the deny. I was told that they would replace the hard drive, SuperDrive, logic board and bottom case and that NOTHING would be covered even though it was a clear case of the GPU failing.
I tried a couple of times and even fired off an email to sjobs@apple.com about it with no resolution.
I ended up purchasing a use 2.4ghz logic board on eBay and replaced it myself. This died about 8 months later and my renewed attempts to get either board replaced failed.
I was in a real low spot :(. I was using a MSI Wind U100 hackintosh.
Finally, I decided to order a new bottom chassis. It coat me about $50, but it was totally worth it. Once I moved my old 2.2ghz board in to the new chassis, Apple took my repair with no problem and switched out my board for a working one.
So, if it gets rejected, I'd recommend replacing your case with a used one off eBay.
Alternatively, some months after I got mine fixed, I wandered in to a Apple Certified Repair vendor here in Charlotte. I explained the situation that I encountered and he told me that, for $50, he would have handled it for me dent or no dent. That would have been well worth the $50.
So yeah, it was a big ordeal for me. Apple would have never replaced the board had I left it in my dented case.
