I'm guessing the next big patch will be virtual babies and stroller mounts?
RIFT when it's gone will not be remembered as a MMO that spammed ad's saying "You're not in Azeroth Anymore", but a online world where people got married and later on found out that 90% of the female characters married were actually in fact guys.
GW2 Mid Range Specs should be about Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz, 2G RAM, DX 9 and 512MB GC.
Both consoles should work just fine. They have the processor power, the memory should have no issue's ( x's fingers, for PS3 users) and there GC's should handle the game really well.
The game would have to be installed on the system.
The controller should work just fine ( playing DCUO, I actually enjoyed gamepad over K/M on my PC), hopefully navigating through the menu system will work fine, that could be a biggest issue with using a gamepad.
They have to be on separate servers, someone using a gamepad vs a K/M will just be bad.
I was hoping for AC3 on the next gen systems, seriously too much AC in 4 years. They are going to burn out the franchise this way, or they could give it a year off and work on other titles.
@ShivanSwordsman I felt the combat was pretty fast. I'm also a fan of PSO and DragonNest. What I don't like about both of those games is being stuck in a instanced playing field. Also both of those titles never challenged me in a battle, even boss fights were a yawn fest.
When I'm challenged in PVE and not in a dungeon or raid, that for me is enough to want to be to at least give more beta runs a try. Of course PVE doesn't really start to push you until your in your late teens.
Questing is probably the low point of the game, since it's pretty much just Kill quests.
I did say my experience with the game was great, but doesn't mean I went up and bought it, or did I =P .... It's funny I was playing SWTOR for the past 2 months and I loved the story/questing, but what I didn't like was being OP from the start and the combat system is something I'm getting tired of playing in most MMO's. This game maybe just a quick fix for my MMO gaming enjoyment, but for now it's at least interesting and is grabbing my attention.
@fallwind It's awesome, I played a priest over last weekend. Being that you have to aim now and with the removal of tab targeting, this is a new step in MMO gaming that is both exciting and challenging. If an enemy is in your way of your party member you need to heal, you will not heal them, it's all about line of sight. Of course not all healing ablities require LOS, you do get Area Effect abilities. It's more challenging to be a support class than ever before. If you've done healing in any other MMO, but it's also much more rewarding from at least the small amount of time I was able to experience.
@NothingShocking Amazing no, solid yes. A solid game doesn't mean it's an Amazing game, but a game that's worth picking up. I'm not hating on the game, I'm just not liking the rating that was received. You can take the paid off remark any way you want it, but yes I do think either money or words were exchanged to give them such high praise. Think of it as a celebrity is endorsing a product, but it's really not that great, but it's good. I look at it like that, just because it has big names backing up the game, doesn't mean it's a perfect homerun.
Of course Joystiq has there opinion and I have mine, no one has to read or care about what I say, I'm just a gamer that has mixed feelings of what was given for a review.
