Oct 23rd 2011 6:10PM (Joystiq)But let's not forget about the pirate vendors. You know the ones who sells the burned pirated copies of the games to other pirates. They and their pirate burners (suppliers) will make a fortune out of this, as long as the dongle only support playing from burned BDs that is.

Aug 18th 2011 1:18PM (Joystiq)Microsoft is greedy. To not see it means you are either a fanboy or capitalism has rotten your mind. Of course every company is out there to make money, but some at the same time do care about their customers in the process. "Care" here does not mean care like care for your dog; care, it means they put out good quality products that will last them(customers) for a long time and the products do what they are supposed to do and maybe even more. This way, their customers will be happy and keep coming back.
Try looking at companies like Activision, EA, (and maybe Capcom) then look at Atlus, notice any difference?.
Let me tell you something, I have an old walkman, car audio, fat PS 2, fat PS 3, PSP, all are Sony products and to this day not even once did any of them ever failed me. Get the picture?

- 6 new disasters
- More interaction with citizens and factions, including objectives
- Facebook and Twitter integration
Oh and I'm excited seeing a mall in the pic above.

Aug 16th 2011 3:47AM (Joystiq)Think of it as a lite version of Simcity with a heavy emphasis on politics if I may.
I like the various approaches of playing the game, you can turn your island into a tourist getaway or build various industries to export products while pleasing the various factions on your island. And there's the option to kiss-up or piss off foreign powers: the US or USSR (or just remain neutral).
I must say seeing my city turn from shacks to condos; satisfying peoples' needs; sometimes fighting off rebels; doing elections; having the threat from foreign powers and etc etc is fun.
If you like city-building games, give it a try.
