Well, a TT is a golf/jetta/beetle already. Why wouldn't they share the platform? It would be stupid not to. That doesn't mean they'll be ANYTHING alike. In fact, if they were smart, they'd nix the current TT and make this the new TT. Mid engine, RWD would make the TT a really really nice sports car, no convertible. Leave the convertible to VW.

Its a big deal with weight distribution. 250lb is a LOT when any or all of it is directly over or IN FRONT of the front axles.

I'm in the US and I have an open deck aluminum VW block. :) Of course it didn't come in anything in North America and was imported, but its 32lb comapred to 96lb of the closed deck iron blocks.

The problem is this. If you already own a 360, other than blu-ray, theres really no compelling reason to get a PS3 @ $400. If you already own a PS3, the 360 is only $200 and you can play some of the exclusives. I know that the PS3 has a few exclusives, but in reality, at least to me, they aren't system sellers. I like LBP, but its not a system seller. MGS5 is OK, but not great. Maybe they should pay Polyphony to actually finish Gran Turismo 5 and actually make it compete with Forza. No damage cuz its 'too CPU intensive, and the car companies won't go for it'? Really? Cuz Forza has it and the PS3 has a superior CPU. Just frustrates me that they've been working on the system seller for almost 5 years now and we have a demo... and thats it.

You can get 2000-2002 Porsche GT2s for ~ $40K. And you can goto any drag strip to go fast in a line, or goto a road track, or SCCA Auto-X near you to go fast in turns. Auto-X and Drag racing are not expensive.

But it doesn't matter. The Eagles are in the playoffs and dominating. The Redskins didn't make the post season after imploding and staying imploded for the final 1/3 of the season.
