@kgoo867 As far as I'm aware, I've paid for a single license to play (for example) Killzone 2 on my PS3. If I copy it TO my PS3, I can still play that copy perfectly legally. However, if I sell or lend my disc to someone else, and keep the copy, then I'm committing an offence. Feel free to provide me evidence to the contrary.
All I'm saying is that you seem to be buying their argument that everyone who downloads this software is a filthy pirate, which is quite simply not true.
@JONNNathannn Agreed - I decided not to buy it right at the time where I tried to leap from one platform to the next on that exploding skyship-thing but as I jumped, at a slight angle to the platform edge, the game lined me up at right angles and then jumped. It just looked so janky and awkward to someone who's really upset at the lack of 360 platformers that I quit about 60 seconds later.
@Unvrfd "It's not your property. It's licensed to you and you agreed to that." When? Not trolling - I'm genuinely interested. I don't recall signing any sort of agreement. i have an XBL agreement, but I don't have a PSN account, so if I bought a PS3 and didn't make a PSN account, surely I haven't agreed to anything.
(And I know it gets brought up waaaay too much, but didn't Sony agree to provide OtherOS?)
@Hunter141072 No idea why you're being downvoted - I quite agree. I have a massive backlog of games right now, so I don't even see a problem with this. I wait for the GOTY edition and I can get all the DLC on a FUNCTIONING game for less than I would have paid on day 1.
I don't know why people put themselves through buying a glitchy mess.
@DrewExMachina Gah, comment fail. I meant "that this is *represented* in 2 dimensions".
Although whether or not that's the case is a matter up for debate. If the smallest size that we can possibly represent is 1 pixel, then haven't we shown 1D (within the limitations of the medium)?
@Robborboy It doesn't matter that this is *represented* Tell me: In how many dimensions are you able to move? Because I was allowed me to move backwards and forwards. And the last time that I checked, that is 1 dimensional motion. Not backwards/forwards and up/down, à la Mario 3 (2D), or backwards/forwards, left/right and up/down, as in Mario 64 (3D).
Or backwards/forwards, left/right, up/down, and past/future, as in Timeshift (4D) :P
