@xFenixKnightx Yes, let's support the dictating Sony and attack the man who just wanted to give power back to the PS3 userbase. After all, we all know how immoral it is to return a feature that was removed under inane circumstances.
Except they have never once disrespected their fans. Every game they have made shows they respect their audience's intelligence a great deal more so than the original developers.
The Norn are the top reason why I am getting Guild Wars 2. A viking race? Oh yeah. The great art design, game mechanics, and score are just icing on the cake.
I am also conflicted, but for different reasons. I hated Oblivion and Fallout 3, and with Howard still at the head I have doubts on this being a game I will like.
On the other hand...a Norse RPG? YES.
The music is pretty good too. Of course, just like Morrowind, this could turn out to be the only good piece in the entire score. I'll just wait and see,
Granted, those aren't the only thing going against them. There is also the fact that they are begging for $18,00 for chorus to accompany synth orchestra. Besides the fact chorus in even the States cost nowhere that much for "Ahh ahh ahh", but chorus just won't work with synth instrument. It needs to be in tangent with real, living, music played by actual real people! It is just stupid, all around.
What they should do is just go to Prague, record both the orchestra and chorus! Heck, they'd have plenty of change left over to boot!
Besides, I listened to an "interview" of theirs. Not only did they sound indecisive and like they had no idea what they are talking about, but they spoke more like sound engineers rather than composers. When he uses words such as "create" and "remake", a composer would use words such as "compose" and "orchestrate". He has the assumption that the quality of music is equal to the performance. Anyone who has listened to Poledouris' original Conan the Barbarian would dispute that claim.
Pretty much, I have no faith in these guys. I have listened to some of their past work, and it is crap. Artistically barren, void of creativity or any sort of merit.
It does. Also add in the fact that they want to use the vocal coordinator of Glee (Glee? A show that has much to do with orchestra as it does with having artistic merit), and having *no* artistic or musical value with any of their pass work, I am going to simple: pass.
