Oh, it's very different...from even MW2! In MW2, melee attacks were the way to go in cramped buildings/corridors...in BO, Treyarch made it a point to make them far less accurate because I don't think they like them.
Same goes with claymores. They are virtually pointless because only if a person is going very slow nearby will they explode and cause enough damage to kill them.
I'm surprised that many people were even able to kill others with melee attacks, considering Black Ops neutered knife kills and claymore power/accuracy.
Every death must come from a stupid gun, and since all guns are equally powerful now (and all have terrible recoil) I'm shocked that many people even managed to kill one another...on second thought, I shouldn't be shocked since BO players' Kill:Death ratios are super high compared to MW2's. (In other words, everyone's a winner in BO - just shoot near an enemy and they die!)
@BloodiedWraith I agree. I thought MH3 would have been awesome if it had HD visuals...the Wii version - while nice compared to other Wii titles - didn't look impressive at all.
And online play was an absolute joke. At least with PS3 you have PSN which is excellent for gaming. I'm guessing they'll release a PS3 MH in mid/late 2012 to maximize potential user #s.
@TheMCFacemanBandcampcom I agree. Treyarch, IMO, released a game that was essentially broken. SO now they are rushing to "fix" all their mistakes and at the same time adjusting gameplay mechanics like crazy. And yes, I also think MW2 was more balanced overall and made players constantly be doing something to stay alive. In BO, feel like everything was "dumbed down" (take a look at the killstreak system!) to appeal to the crappier players. :/
Also, anyone notice Treyarch is improving sniper rifle stuff? Proof they didn't adjust things they disliked about MW2 appropriately. The Claymore and Melee attacks are still useless too, but I think Treyarch dislikes those types of things.
