@ck0 If the issues of third world countries concern you that much, you'd likely do more good, y'know, doing something about it, rather than commenting on video game news articles. Just sayin'.
@Dionkey "... BioWare is slowly turning into a terrible studio that overprices their DLC"
I dunno. I've never had an issue with BioWare DLC, and their pricing structure through Mass Effect and Dragon Age has been pretty consistent. They've been stumbling with the multiplayer DLC, but I'm really not that surprised by it - I figure that it's their first real effort at that sort of thing, and I'd be more surprised if they did it as well as they do everything else.
Now, if/when the real expansions come out, this may need to be revisited... but I'm okay with it so far.
Funny, before I ever played the game, I'd written it off and discarded any thoughts of buying DLC for it. I actually really enjoyed this game, and I think I may pick these up. They're not overly expensive, and anything that expands/extends the game is worthwhile to me.
I haven't purchased a new wrestling game since Day of Reckoning 2 on the Gamecube. This sounds decent... but I still think I may wait for a price drop. Too many other things to play right now, anyway.
I don't AGREE with the decision to axe any of the servers for any of these games, but I really don't understand taking down NCAA Basketball 2010. I don't play it myself, but I'm familiar enough to know that they haven't made a new game in that series since 2010 came out. So, essentially, that group of people is just going to be completely out of luck, without even being able to "upgrade" to a newer version.
... Doesn't make sense to me, especially coming from a company doing well.
I don't understand why so many people attribute declining pc sales with Gamestop. I can say from experience that a lot of people prefer console to pc due to lower upkeep and hassle. Sure, pc is the superior platform, but it requires constant maintenance and upkeep. People are lazy - they much prefer to invest in something where they know it'll run any games (barring the occasional crap game filled with bugs) they put in it.
Does the lack of pc games at -all- stores suck? Of course. But I really think it's a result of the industry changing more than a giant scheme. I'm happy about this news, personally.
