Joystiq Top 10 of 2010: Super Meat Boy

Dec 31st 2010 10:49AM (Joystiq)
This game is easily one of my favorites of 2010. It's amazingly well created and the fact that it's hard doesn't even register because the game play is so precise. I can easily say that I've devoted 20 hours or more over the past 4 days to this game and continue to get excited when I wake up to play.

It's a must buy at 800 points on Xbox Live that's for sure!

@Vaitork Thanks for the tip. I only have wireless controllers but think I will run over to Gamestop today and see if they have any cheap used wired controllers. I found online that they have a wireless receiver for Xbox 360 controllers but unfortunately they are $33. I think I'd rather just get a dedicated PC Xbox controller. =D

@Faenix Nice! I only have wireless controllers so I think I'll just see if I can get a cheap wired one used at Gamestop.

Thanks for the tips! Looking foward to playing some SMB but didn't even want to try using a keyboard for this game. ;)

These are some wicked deals. Picked up Meat Boy just for the soon to be released editor on PC. I'm going to get in on Xbox Live because I'd rather use a controller to play the game.

Also picked up LC: Guardian of Light. I need a good dungeon crawler game and like the co-op aspect.

Now... should I pick up Witcher... That is the questions...

Wow, now I might have to get the PC version through the Steam sale... I really want to create some levels for this game. =D

Blizzard confirms 'Titan' as 'next-gen MMO'

Dec 17th 2010 8:23PM (Joystiq)
@Billlop Wow has such a solid fan base of commited players that even if there MMO is great it won't take away them all. Not to mention, WOW is getting pretty old now so they might as well use their new "talent" to create a game that takes advantage of new technology.

This is a wicked deal. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger myself just for some of the exclusive titles I don't get on my Box.
