Dec 14th 2006 4:11AM (Joystiq Nintendo)I just can't work that one out. I suck.
I managed to get a pre-order from game that nobody collected. :-)
Everyone I've spoken to (toysrus, comet, game) don't seem to think they'll get any this week. Virgin megastores keep getting stock (leeds the day before yesterday got 30) and there are rumours that some Asda stores may get some.

Dec 13th 2006 4:27AM (Joystiq Xbox)The prices are actually better than most high-street although you usually have to take a £30+ contract to qualify and not change it for 6 months over a 18 month contract. In the past I've been given a GBC and a Symbian Organiser.

Aug 11th 2006 6:20AM (Joystiq)No. There is not an either there. A port is not a game that is developed for multiple platforms simulateously. A port is a only game that is developed for one platform and then subsequently reworked for another.
GR:AW on the 360 is not a port as it was written for the 360 then ported to the PC. The Xbox version is not a port either as it is a completely different game which shares a lot of elements of the original.
Oblivion and COD2 are not ports as they are multi-platform titles from the start.
Ports are bad things as the titles were not written with that platform in mind so they are not likely to be as well optimised. Usually this means they suck.
Multiplatform games are usually OK as the same teams create the artwork, level designs and the like then they are coded for seperately and deliberately for different specific hardware. This may, however, lead to compromise which can be bad.
