Definitely have to throw in Robot Loves Ice Cream too. Awesome timewaster game.

Microsoft will close Live Mesh and Windows Live Sync next year -- Windows Live Mesh 2011 is the future

This is too bad. I've been a longtime user of Live Mesh, and though progress definitely stagnated in the last year, it was clearly best of Microsoft's sync services. My favorite and most-used feature was the no-install remote desktop viewer... hopefully the incorporate a similar feature into WLM in the future

I've been using Jinni for a while for a lot of the same things. They've got a ton of tags and some pretty precise descriptors too. It's also got a recommendation engine, but of course it's almost useless, save for the "better known/lesser-known" sliders, etc.

New York Answers, 'What Is a Zune?'

To be fair, you were asking around Times Square. So... you weren't asking New York, you were asking everywhere except New York.

@HotFuzz
Please. Where's the snarky posts about Apple's pictures of people kayaking or takling about going to Tahoe? Everything's got their target demo (i.e. showing activities their target demo thinks and wishes they do), but I guess this one is far enough away from the Engadget editors that it's mock-worthy

@Volatile: What would putting OSX on there do? It'd be unusable since the UIs are designed for a whole different paradigm. Think McFly!

Microsoft: Windows Phone 7 series 'will not initially offer copy and paste,' case-specific actions integrated into OS

@MMMM Except no one's doing this in Assembly, or DOS. Sure a lot of the stuff is unique for a touchscreen environment (e.g. scrolling, hit areas, zoomability), but otherwise it's just an extension of the same textbox classes we've had forever. You'd be mad to code any sort of reasonable textbox in assembly, let alone a single-programming OS like DOS.

"Hardware and software" == "harvard's awful."

Yes Google, we know you love Stanford...
