A friend of mine is attempting to write a mouse control application that uses this thing for his senior research. I'm curious to see if it works once he gets a sample device.

If this is anything like the promo they did for Arkham Asylum, the gift card doesn't activate for 6 hours, essentially forcing you to come back the next day.

Everything is "HD" these days. I saw an ad on the television the other day promoting laser eye surgery that would give you "HD vision". I guess it's the same kind of idea as TV dinners?

I spent 6 months using the HTC Kaiser and then the Touch Pro and type just as fast on my new iPhone because I had to always wait for the software to catch up with me on those WinMo phones. (And yes, I had speed-oriented ROMs from the 'tubes.) Of course, I also have small hands, which might be a factor.

I agree that the iPhone needs native multitasking. Backgrounder is fairly broken on OS 3.0 and frankly should have never been a necessary piece of software. Here they have something to learn from WebOS.

This editorial mentions that the email functionality is "brutal" but doesn't go into detail. I'm not in love with the mail app, but it certainly doesn't seem broken.

Of course, the amount of work it sounds like the author was trying to do is almost assuredly too much for pretty much any phone on the market. Swallow your pride and carry a laptop if you want to get things done.

The iPhone gets a lot of things wrong, but gets just as many right. That's more than I can say about my experience with Windows Mobile.

Man, really? I remember when Sonic turned 10 and they released that special edition of Sonic Adventure 2 with the soundtrack compilation CD and the "10 Years of Sonic" sticker that is still on my Dreamcast to this day. The time, she is flying.
