Nintendo shares drop 5 percent following TGS showcase
Sep 13th 2011 2:26PM (Joystiq)Mario Kart Wii is a fantastically designed game with extremely high reply value. Aided in this is that its more or less the only online Wii title that almost functions ideally (give or take any sort of interaction).
I wont get into the nuances, but for people who believe that Mario Kart Wii is all casual and no skill, thats because Nintendo developed it to play as such on surface value. But just because they switched up the apparent mechanics that allow for higher levels of play (snaking, speed boosting in 64, etc), doesnt mean they still arent THERE. Mario Kart Wii is actually a very decently competitive game. Prove it? Feel free to PM me your friend code and we can do a few races in friendly competition. The game's luck is largely eliminated if you know what you are doing.
