I can understand that. My parents have definitely been more willing to watch me play games, and try to understand them, as the graphics have improved. My dad sat and watched me play Uncharted 2 for a few hours last time I had it on, because it spoke to him in his own language - adventure movies - rather than making him learn a new language.

This is a killer feature for me! I hate on-screen controls. This definitely pushes the S to the top of my tablet list.

@mywhitenoise That's always the first thing I do with a new game - go into the options and see what's available. I'm usually looking for subtitles, at least.

@mrantimatter Hey, that's pretty cool. I hadn't heard that. There's still somewhat the principle of 'I'm carrying around a slot in the hardware that I never plan to use,' but that's just whining. Or maybe they'll be kind, and that Vita card will fit in an SD card slot.

Bleh. I was hoping for no physical media at all. Hopefully they'll continue the current PSP day one downloadable games.

Those ships don't feel right to me. It's just not Silpheed unless it has the SA-77 Silpheed involved. Such a deliciously chunky design, with lots of flat surfaces and hard edges due to the limitations of polygon graphics at the time. I loved it. Streamlined ships like these...it's just another space shooter.

It looks promising. That shot of Mars looks like Red Faction, and it's nice that they're using the characters and technology of RFG without being slavishly tied to it. Case in point is Alec Mason...although seriously, in 30 years he can buy a new coat, guys.
My guess is that it'll be an average-to-poor movie, but at least it'll be part of the Red Faction story. I can't remember - is this the first time we've seen this? That a game's TV show or movie is actually part of the story, rather than a side-story, reimagining, inspired-by, or retelling?
