I became a D&D player about 2 years ago after years and years of playing video games. This year, I'm part of a group of all my closest friends that get together every two weeks and play and laugh and have a good time. It's taken my experience, perception and appreciation of games in general to new places. This weekend's game we'll be toasting a brew to Dave :)

I'll take the "Turkey Dinner" perk - Every enemy slain will leave behind a fully-cooked and garnished Thanksgiving turkey on a serving plate. Worked for Final Fight, works for me!

I'm with pretty much everybody here on this one. With a piece of software with this much content (thousands of items as they say) removing content is not an option, you just have to go with it and make a smarter interface. The social elements (rating, tagging) would help but even a proper indexed search would be easy as hell, i mean it's only decade old technology!

I agree that you shouldn't close your mind to other systems out of loyalty, but i don't think I'm the only one that isn't made of money :) PS3 is the priciest system on the market out of the box, and as you said there haven't been alot of games up to this point to get excited about.

Kudos on being an early adopter, cause you get to experience this game on launch day. For the rest of us rubbing pennies together though, it takes a few more good games to make the purchase enticing. For me (though it's a PSN game) Little Big Planet is a huge selling point, along with whenever the next Final Fantasy game comes out of it's hole (and hopefully doesn't see it's shadow)

I am glad for this, since it makes me feel a bit better about the library of the system, and I know the day I purchase a PS3 I'll really enjoy it. MGS 1-3 were solid (no pun intended). However, as a 360 owner, I still haven't found enough exclusives to pull me to the system. This may be good, but what will i play in a month when I'm done? If the next year introduces more games like this to the library some 360 owners might finally break down and go cross platform.

As an independant game developer these are not only a way to express my own creative stuffs, but to see the hard work others put into their spiffy games. But if you wanna enoble ROMS as the only reason for this, you're silly.

That would be a good year :)
