Very nice article. I always hear/see Diablo's name everywhere, lots of games with the label "Diablo-like", but as I've never played it, many of the mentions and references are lost on me. It was nice to get a bit context for Diablo and how it relates to games I'm a bit more familiar with.
I think Torchlight is pretty. I dig the cell shadedness. :) I've been eyeing Divine Divinity on Gog.com for a while now.
I played the demo at a GameStop and basically embarrassed myself by squealing in delight as I used the rear touchpad to roll the little deviant. I'm sure some of that enthusiasm was due to finally getting my hands on a Vita, but it seemed genuinely amusing for the few minutes I played. Of course, whats a few minutes compared to a whole game. It's disappointing to hear the mini-games overstay their welcome. And what-the-what? Singing game?
Yeah, I also need to play with the inverted view but like the others said, the option was available on my demo.
I played on PS3, and if I remember correctly, after going to options, it wasn't on the first screen that comes up, you have to page through to the next screen to get the camera options. You cant invert the x-axis though, I don't think. They just have the generic "invert view" on/off option.
Anyway, I hope you get a chance to try it out. At least you can be pretty sure the release will have the option.
Yeah, I'm getting the same error message but my drivers are good and "open-gl compatible". I was excited to try it out, especially without having to download. Upside, I didn't know there was a demo available on steam, so at least I can still try it out.
Awesome photo blog. The animals adorableness are only increased when they're super-sized - well except the Enderdragon - it looked menacing. I really liked the idea behind the photo booth - too bad it didn't come out as planned.
