Don't know where the REPLY button went to but.... -------------------------------- @MisterEFQ Did either of you *try* using the pro-guitar to learn how to play? They don't even attempt to teach you how to actually play guitar - they just treat it like another, more complicated controller.
In contrast, RockSmith actually tries to teach you how to play the instrument. It goes a decent job, but there's still *a lot* of room for improvement (ex. display actual tabs or sheet-music, rather than numbers falling down the screen; teaching scales/improvisation; etc.).

@Mcmax3000 Have to agree with BlueRajasmyk about point #2: Rock Band 3 did absolutely nothing to teach you how to play an actual guitar. As such, Rocksmith was the first to *really* attempt to teach playing the actual instrument.
If either of you actually bothered to try the RB3 tutorials, they went into what made up a chord, an arpeggio, and several other musical concepts, not to mention putting the actual chord name you were supposed to be fingering off to the left. Maybe you didn't like it, but I learned A LOT about playing guitar from them.
Saying that RB3 didn't teach anything and that Rocksmith did it first is pure ostrich-head-in-the-sand-ery. I own both, and while Rocksmith does have it strengths, RB did it first.
Why does every website think I _WANT_ to use my FB/Twitter/G+/etc account to post here? I don't.

@Nobledevil Gaming Optimist USPS (the postal service) is fine. UPS (aka "brown") is $#!+. I've repeatedly gotten my 3rd notice-you-have-to-pick-it-up as my first notice and when I got to pick it up the next day, it's still "on the truck."
Their customer service people always say "I can't contact the driver. They don't have cell phones" which I have trouble believing considering the company's business is based on knowing where a package is.
@CountNoobula I wish you wouldn't do that. PC version piracy is one of the reasons Capcom didn't release Super Street Fighter 4 on PC (thankfully, they did publish AE). As someone that is trying to build a 100% legitimate arcade machine, I'm relying on PC versions of games that I want to include. If you want the game, please pay for it. If you want to stick it to Capcom, buy it used, but please don't just pirate it.
When people pirate games/music/movies, it gives the industry a scapegoat to blame for the industry's crappy business models and it gives them ammo to lobby congress for stronger protections.
I know the article is sarcasm, but I've only bought one SquEnix game in forever (the last Kindom Hearts for DS) because they ARE broken. Why? All of the masturbatory emo exposition. That was fine when I was 15, but 20 years later? Come the eff on. I shouldn't be rolling my eyes at the dialogue 5 minutes into the game, and let's be honest, at 5 minutes in I haven't even played because it's still all backstory cutscene crap.
Rock Band Blitz gameplay trailer; Rock Band 3 tracks not importable
