Did you actually just say the reviews on MC NEED to be high for this to be counted as a success? I know this industry is driven by that accursed Metacritic, but acting like an arbitrary number on a site determines a game's worth is naive and giving into the corporate machine.

Studios being shuttered is because the PUBLISHERS weren't happy with what happened 9 times out of 10. Blame Rockstar for shutting down Bondi and stop drinking the Kool-Aid.

The developers were paid long ago to do their job by their corporate masters, and that is to make the game.
The money from the game sales goes to the retailers, distributors, and publishers. It's pure profit for everyone BUT the devs.
Wake up and stop letting the companies convince you the "poor, poor developers" are starving and scraping roadkill off the side of the street for dinner.
