I have 2 PSP 3000's, my girlfriend has one, most of my gaming buddies have one. I've never heard of this problem. Are you sure you're not making it up?
Cheap games, wide breadth of apps and uses. Since I bought my iPhone I found I didn't need a laptop. Since I bought my PSP I found I still need my GBA, my DS, my phone, my mp3 player, my video player....
New Sonic is all about hitting buttons to go faster and basically a roller coaster games. New fans, (YES I KNOW! they DO exist! As weird as they are) say you have to hold right to win on the old games... yet on the new ones you just hold up instead....
It's just a ridiculous type of gameplay. I don't want to go breakneck fast. I want Sonic. And thankfully they've listened to us real fans and looks like they're onto a winner.

It's okay though. They'll only sell a few copies until they realise it's not a good idea to massive inflate the cost of a game like that. It'll be 9.99 in 6 months.
But yes. Effectively this is FFIV with a small campaign bolted onto the side of it that was originally a mobile phone game (an old one, not the new cool ones). It's small, uninteresting and only morons are going to pay that much for it.
FWIW I paid less than £27 (the cost of FFIV PSP) for; Peace Walker Tactics Ogre special edition Dissidia 012 special edition Persona 3 and Ys Seven IMPORTS (key word) My whole Square PSP collection of, FFVII, VIII, IX, Vagrant Stories and Crystal Defenders Star Ocean 1+2 combined My NIS collection combined (ZHP, Prinny 1, Disgaea 2)
