Newsweek's Croal on RE5: 'Wow, clearly no one black worked on this game'

Apr 11th 2008 2:13PM (Joystiq)
Ummm.. it's based in AFRICA. If it was based in Africa and all white zombies, they would all say 'Where are all the black people?' and 'clearly no one African worked on this game.'

Penny Arcade Adventures priced at $20, specs released

$20 is expensive for an XBLA game. I'm not dirt poor, but you sure talk like you are. Just another typical 12 year old foul-mouthed XBL user... didn't I play against you in Halo 3?

Looks like they are looking to abuse their fanbase by making as much as possible off of their game. Thanks, but I'll pass.

The 360's crappy hardware is gimping GTA IV

May 4th 2007 10:13AM (Joystiq Playstation)
Xbox 360 games can require the hard drive (see Final Fantasy XI). In the future more games will require it, and MS already has a 'Hard Drive Required' icon for it, that goes along with the other notations on the box. This is really a business decision on Rockstar's part; they could require the hard drive on the 360 (since let's face it, most people bought the premium), but they want to hit the widest market.

First wave of Guitar Hero II songs rock Marketplace

Apr 11th 2007 3:07PM (Joystiq Xbox)
One thing you guys should know is this - they added co-op tracks (like the bass line) to these GH1 songs. So it's not just downloads of the PS2 songs; there is additional stuff added to each song. This tempers the price slightly.

Red Octane says two Xbox guitar models 'defective'

Apr 9th 2007 8:46AM (Joystiq)
The question is - how many people have the PS2 and 360 guitars, and can tell that their 360 guitar is defective? I have both, and it's obvious that the whammy bar doesn't work like the PS2 one does. If you *just* have a 360 guitar, you simply have nothing to compare it too, so please stop clogging up these threads with 'my guitar works fine' and let the people who have a basis for comparison sort this out.

Major Nelson teases new Dashboard details on Xbox 360 Fancast

I for one would love to see the ability to power down the USB ports (or some of them) when the console powers down. I use an external hard drive for music, and it's aggravating both to see the light on the drive constantly, and to know that it's wasting my electric, just because the 360 won't power that port down when it shuts down.

Discovery's Planet Earth's premier killed on Sunday night

Roquentin, where did you see that the HD disc version comes with both narrations? I mean, that would be *great*, but I don't see anywhere on Amazon where it says that.

Rumor: Guitar issues with Xbox 360 Guitar Hero II

Apr 4th 2007 7:51AM (Joystiq)
Got it yesterday. On the first guitar, the picking bar thingy started to stick in the down position after playing one song (for reference, I have the PS2 version and everything is fine). Also noticed the whammy bar problem - it's as if you don't have nearly enough play in it, or maybe as if the 360 doesn't detect motion on the bar until you push it further than you have to on the PS2. Anyway, took it back, and got a second one. The picking bar works fine on this second guitar, but the whammy bar still sucks compared to the PS2 version.
