Could they not just make an adapter? One side plugs into the 360 A/V output, the other side accepts a standard HDMI cable.
This would allow the standards to be adhered to for HDCP over HDMI, unless I'm missing something. Also, it allows MS to generate revenue from the adapter (which could be packaged with an Xbox360 branded standard HDMI cable for more profits).
Could someone fill me in on where these other axes came from? Last time I did any three dimensional (3D) rendering, there were only 3 axes (X, Y, and Z) used to define space.
I feel the need to clarify. My previous comment was not a slight toward the blog poster or the posting itself.
It just seemed obvious to me that a multitude of little points of heat (IR) would probably cause an IR sensor to react to them.
Of course, having read the comments on this site for some time now, it should have been equally obvious to me that there are plenty of people who probably don't know that heat=IR. ;)
And what's up with comments disappearing? I saw "Comments[3]", but when I got in here there was only one. Are people leaving comments that are that bad?

Nov 30th 2006 3:48PM (Joystiq)If you can use two candles to replace the sensor bar, what do you expect to happen with a couple hundred 'candles' off to one side? I mean, really....
