Mar 12th 2012 3:59PM (Joystiq)Actually, I'd love to see another Dead Aim-styled game that addressed both of those issues, and then maybe I wouldn't feel so guilty about having fun, 'cuz make no mistake, Dead Aim is a guilty pleasure.

Mar 5th 2012 11:39AM (Joystiq)The one exception to the "Capcom + 360 LUVRZ 4EVR" rule that I can think of is the SFXT PS-exclusive characters, which I don't think is right either. Although that one doesn't affect me at all, seeing as how I've no intention of buying SFXT, it's still bullshit and I wish Capcom would pull their fingers from out of their ears every now and then to get a HINT of the anger that their "precious", "important" fans are directing at them these days.

Mar 5th 2012 11:32AM (Joystiq)But I do NOT appreciate all of the money that Capcom's been given lately to give platforms that are not the 360 the shaft. First the two-month exclusivity on the RE6 demo and now this, which either has no multi-platform date announced, or has no multi-platform date PERIOD.
I guess it's a good thing that I'm not buying ORC for its multiplayer modes; I'm buying it for the kickass co-op campaign. But now I'm buying it used. Same with RE6. Because EFF Capcom's business strategies that screw over its consumers and fans.

Feb 26th 2012 12:00PM (Joystiq)It certainly doesn't help that they haven't really hyped this game at all in the mainstream.
There's been a ton of promotion on the interwebs, but those have mostly come in the form of the Inserted Evil "ARG" and invites to a handful of ORC events where people could actually play a build of the game (which I've done twice and had a blast playing it), but most people still aren't aware that this is an actual "thing", which will hurt it the most. One of my co-workers didn't know anything about it, even when I explained it to him, and didn't really get excited for it until he saw a commercial for it during an episode of The Walking Dead. Considering the game's coming out next month, that's not a good indicator for public awareness.
I hope it does well, but if it doesn't, I place the blame solely on Capcom's publicity department. Underground hype and word-of-mouth alone can't deliver the kinds of numbers they expect out of Resident Evil games these days.
