Darksiders 2 will star new character, take place alongside events of first game

Though I want it to be one of the other horsemen that stars in the sequel, how could it be?

The events of the first game (namely, the ending sequence) make another horseman dong anything concurrently with War's story impossible. Unless they just retcon the whole thing, I guess.
