Wii almost had parental control timer

Feb 29th 2008 10:13AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
The messages are sufficient. The timer would be for parents that aren't involved in their child's life enough to even monitor their habits at home. Make parents ACTUALLY parent their kids... crazy concept, I know.

Wii + Parents = ???

Do we get more stories like Vlad's where he lies about not "predisposing" anything about the Wii to his roommate, whom subsequently bashes it with all the stereotypical anti-Wii rants?

We don't need anymore obviously scripted "wii sessions" a la Mr. Troll: Vlad.

PSone games on PSP: $5.99 to $10.99

Nov 23rd 2006 2:18AM (Joystiq)
Having to buy a $600 PS3 and a $200 PSP to pay $.99 more($10.99) for PSOne titles as opposed to paying $250 for the Wii to pay $10 for N64 titles is a better deal?

$810.99 < $260?

I guess you could say "OH BUT YOU CAN TAKE THS PSONE GAMES PORTABLY!" To that I respond: why would you want to take a game that wasn't meant to be played in short, quick intervals and put it on a portable system?

Flying Wiimote busts 60" TV

The strap won't "just break." Your arm can't put enough force behind it to snap that cord. Also, he'd have to throw it with a pitcher's strength to crack it like that.

Don't spread stupidity from a troll website.

Joystiq Video: Buying Zelda (NES) on the Wii's Virtual Console service

I don't think people that have a hard time playing NES Zelda should review games.

Least credible New York paper picks Wii over PS3

Nov 16th 2006 6:50PM (Joystiq)
In other news, this blog is the least credible compared to IGN, 1up, etc.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw credibility rocks.

Metareview - Final Fantasy III (DS)

Nov 16th 2006 1:31PM (Joystiq)
Funny, the reason they didnt ship FFIII to the States was, if I recall correctly, because it was deemed too difficult for Americans.

Way to prove them right.

More dumbed down easy games please!
