I remember not long ago a comment was made on the Joystiq Show by a staffer (can't remember which) that publishers forget that the internet doesn't know national boundaries (it was about publisher art assets which “aren’t for the US audience”). They were very clear that they consider Joysitiq an international site, and flat out stated that the game publisher was an idiot for forgetting that.

@Histeria Read it again. It doesn't, but I guess people are reading that into it. Online gaming is not a siginificant part of the console's use as I', not sure it repesents a huge chunk of the console's gaming time.

Anyone know the actual stats on that?

This seems to misrepresent the article.

The article states people spend more time watching TV online than they do gaming ONLINE. It makes no statement about people spending more time watching TV on their consoles then they do playing games overall.

Whilst I agree all this DLC is all a bit silly, people need to bear in mind these “DLCs” are hardly content you need to collect, but mostly just minor gun buffs and skins for co-op multiplayer. No-one is missing out on content if they don’t buy 100s of awful manga style Liara action figures.
