Liked what I played from the beta weekend, but man, does this game go overboard on cheesecake. Pretty obvious to see their target audience with this one.
the games themselves were fun, and indeed, without al Lowe's support and guiding hand, they sucked.
My guess is this is to see if the old school fans are still around, and still willing to phony up the case for it, as well as prove to publishers the old style is still the best way to play Larry.
I'll see how this one goes, but after doublefine, wasteland, and auditorium, i'm starting to want to throw down cash for something I can play now, rather then in six months to a year.
Sony needs to improve the game situation for the vita in Japan, that's really all there is to it. The last few months has seen several major 3ds releases, and Sony really hasn't offered much in response for Japan.
EQOA had a horribly outdated design from day 1. It was my first mmo, and honestly, if not for my friends playing, I doubt I would have stuck with it for so long.
No instancing made planned raids all but impossible. A lack of quests meant it was a 60 level, pure grind of a few hundred hours per character. Minimal ram cause major issues with raiding, armor/weapon sets, etc.
I'd rather see EQ next dual released on pc/ps4, rather then an updated EQOA. Heck, i'd settle for updated Champions of Norrath, those games were quite fun for diablo clones.

Mar 29th 2012 4:00PM (Massively)So basically it was the same as Gears then, right? Not like the genre has much in the way of depth anyways.
