Could I transfer my current rate plan to a Tivo HD though? Through a long story, I pay only 5.95 per month for Tivo with a S2. Will I be able to get one of these HDs and continue at 5.95?

Netflix lays out official response to bandwidth capping allegations

Part of the allegations are that the 360 is being favored at the expense of other devices (since MS supposedly hosts some of the stuff).

So his answer is basically, "we keep and serve different encodes of the material based on your device". Which can mean that they indeed serve better versions to various devices with no way to know what goes where.

I have tried a 360 and a PC side by side both plugged into the same router. The 360 gets better quality sometimes for no good reason. And I dont mean HD vs SD.

Geek Squad home theater setup horror story

Brad,

Someone like her could well have asked for the best installer, but she would have no clue if she actually got him/her to come out

Also, how can you tell if they did a good job if you are not tech savvy to begin with to do it yourself, what is a relatively simple job.

So while you may be correct in saying that not all GS installers are bad, from a consumer perspective, there is no way to know or verify that you got someone who knows that they are doing.
