@brandon916 You're probably right that they're not too concerned, but probably the closest analogue device to a 6 inch touchscreen controller would be an iPod touch. Granted Apple stuff is always overpriced, but the iPod touch has a smaller screen and it's still $229. There's no way it would be feasible to charge $200 or more for a controller. They've got to cut corners somewhere.

@brandon916 If they're trying to keep the cost of the controllers down they're not going put a fast CPU and graphics chip in them. The controllers would stream their video from the console, so you'll still have to be in range of the system to play games.

I wonder if he actually said anything about the "blue ocean" strategy. I've never actually seen a Nintendo executive quoted as endorsing that strategy. It's always journalists putting words in their mouths.
