SSHD is more of a shooter is than Everyday Shooter (which is more based around the music than the actual shooting component), so it depends on what you're looking for. I say just get both, but get ES over SSHD if you have to choose (then again, I just don't like SSHD, while ES is one of my favorite downloadable console games; it's easily the best thing on PSN, and better than a lot of the stuff on XBLM).
