MGS on the PS1 is my favorite. It introduced most of video game America to Kojima, great story telling, and stealth action where you could go in guns blazing or take 'em out one by one. (of course there was Metal Gear on the Nintendo but I was poor and didn't own one)

Of course MGS2 and 3 on the PS2 introduced a whole new level of game play and storytelling with Kojima's humor intertwined (i.e.-the genome soldier peeing your head PS2 or Snake's conversation about wanting to take off all his clothes PS3), we all know that our first impressions are our biggest and best and it did it for me. So much so, that I now live in Japan, read Konami's girly mags, and pee on people's heads.
