If it happens to be true, then Activision will take the DLC model yet again lower than its ever been for the industry for introducing the concept of renting DLC under the guise of "free DLC only usable when subscribed"
So let me get this straight. Based on the DLC plan they have in place that is valued at more than $60...
They're telling me that the (hopefully if it sticks to prior pricing) $80 Hardened edition of the game will give those gamers interested in CoD the complete experience for MW3. But if one were to purchase the standard edition of the game at $60, one would be forced to drop more than 60 bucks down to complete this predetermined experience without Elite? And with the Standard + Elite, it would still be dropping down 50 in addition to the initial 60?
That just doesn't seem right....particularly if one isn't able to get a Hardened edition.
The difference is that they're taking something out of that copy meant to go with new copies and selling it as new. That's where "tampering" comes into play.
It's one thing for Gamestop to open up a case to use it as a display case and isolating the actual game disc and paper content until it's purchased. It's another for Gamestop to open up a case, take out something that's meant to be in there, then selling the product as new.
The equivalent would be to take a game like Borderlands Game of the Year Edition for example, take out the voucher for all the in-game DLC, then selling it as "New". That's tampering.
It's called Arkham City because it literally takes place at a location within Gotham City called Arkham City.... Just like how Arkham Asylum was named such because it literally took place at Arkham Aslylum....
You don't see the first game being called "Batman: Arkham Asylum that's on an Island Within Gotham City" now do you?
What are you talking about? MK vs. DCU doesn't share the same voice actors or remotely the same animation as Batman or Joker in AA. There's nothing from MK vs DCU in this trailer at all fake or not.
If you didn't know, the moves you see Joker pull off in this trailer can be normally done in AA...
The curious move sets are the co-op moments where they both interact with each other and/or a thug at the same time and the two new counters Batman pulls off. Otherwise everything else is normally done in AA.
Well so far from what I understand only game press have actually seen Arkham City in action. With that said can anyone verify if the counter moves Batman uses in the trailer (throwing objects and the double counter) are the same animations used in the demos the game devs showed off to the press?
Personally I think more likely than not it's some sort of little advertisement for co-op Challenge rooms. One of the playstation magazines reported that multiplayer content is in AC, but to what extent is unknown. This could be the reasonable unknown.

Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer preview: Killer streaks
Sep 2nd 2011 4:34PM (Joystiq)I would seriously hope not. That just seems too low of a threshold for a player that constantly buffs up on more perks as the kills rack up.
Balance already seems to be thrown out the window with what's been announced so far...
