Crysis 2 vs. Crysis 2: PC and Xbox visuals compared
Mar 11th 2011 12:01AM (Joystiq)I think you're forgetting that the PC nearly has two decades worth of great games. I don't even think its fair to compare the pc library to consoles, as its been around far longer than the 5 years the ps3/360 has been around. Add to that the advantages you get for certain exclusive 360 games like left4dead. On pc you don't have to pay for the l4d dlc which is pretty sweet. Don't get me wrong, the 360 is wonderful, but even some of its must have exclusives are also on the pc with the advantages of mods and stuff.
The Gunstringer preview: Kinect goes 'hardcore'
Feb 24th 2011 8:26PM (Joystiq)Don't you also find it funny that one food item is talking to another food item. A sandwich talking to a burger. That is just hilarious haha.
Metareview: Killzone 3
Feb 4th 2011 3:49PM (Joystiq)Again I don't doubt he gave the game a glowing review, but I disagree that he gave the actual story a glowing review. He said it was better than KZ2s story, but honestly that can't be that hard to do. But hey I haven't played KZ3 so I can't really judge.
Metareview: Killzone 3
Feb 4th 2011 1:51PM (Joystiq)I wouldn't exactly say he gives the story a 'verbal blow job', as he admits the plot is rather light and talks mostly of the gameplay. I would be hard pressed to find anyone who buys Halo/COD/Killzone for the story as most people buy them for the multiplayer. But dont't get me wrong, I completely see where you're coming from. I think every review by anyone should be taken with a grain of salt. Jims got a very unique taste in games. He hates Assassins Creed but loves Dynasty Warriors for example. Nothing wrong with that, as its just his opinion. If he thinks Killzone 3 is a 10/10 experience, its just one mans opinion, no need to put down an entire site. I would argue that Destructoid is one of the few sites that uses the full 10 point scale.
Metareview: Killzone 3
Feb 4th 2011 12:06PM (Joystiq)Have you actually been to the site? There are some pretty good articles over there like the Constructoid series. Seriously check it out, you might change your opinion. And as far as the people complaining about the 10/10, I would actually read the review instead of paying attention to some arbitrary number.
