@chrisredfield31 keep wasting your entire life paralyzed in analysis of what the entire situation would cost down to the penny and telling yourself it's impossible. Meanwhile, all those jobs you don't think exist? Other people who have initiative and don't make excuses are getting them.

@abercrombieco2 he had a direct line however to those who did make the game and helped the community get many improvements and quick fixes for issues with the games.

@chrisredfield31 so the American job system is trash because there are no video game jobs in your state? LOL. Thousands of people move for jobs every day. And how exactly is beta testing a marketable skill? Maybe for a QA position. You're talking about being community manager for the most popular annual video game series on the planet. Think you're going to need to bolster your resume a bit further.

@chrisredfield31 if you can't handle getting ranked down without becoming super defensive and antagonistic, just imagine how awesome you'd be as a community manager having thousands of morons call you offensive four-letter words in place of female anatomy.

You practically just interviewed for us right here.

Sorry to see him go. He was more engaged with the community than any other developer on a constant basis. He answered tons of tweets on a daily basis and kept community information coming out at a large clip. Hopefully they have someone take his place who is equally engaging and responsive.

@Noctem Aeternus what is your point with this post? Making games is a gamble, and nobody would put up the resources to do it unless there was a possible success story. Companies not only try to make money for those leaders in the organization who ultimately made the decision, but also for shareholders. And shareholders - as they should - reward good leadership.
