Is it just me, or (outside of the hand to hand stuff) does this not look EXACTLY like Stranglehold?

Wish they would've had Matt Damon's likeness as the main character. I think most people who are fans of this series were introduced to it through the movies (not the books) and that would've helped the immersiveness a lot.

When they said they tried to capture Bourne's hand to hand combat style from the movies they weren't kidding, that part looks phenomenal and looks just like the movies.

And you really don't know humor...

This game would've been fine if it were an average shooter with no innovation and a cool concept, because the concept (WWII in America) is pretty cool.

However, beyond the concept, it wasn't a mediocre shooter. It was a crappy shooter. The graphics were below average, and more importantly the controls were horrible, the hit detection was off, and the enemy AI makes the Wolfenstein 3D enemies look like geniuses.

I really wanted to play through this game for the story/concept aspect of it, but the gameplay was just too bad to suffer through. I would have been fine with "average" controls.

Why is double XP a good thing? Increasing XP without increasing rank just makes you look worse, as it gives you those stupid bars under your ensignia that most people see as "this guy played a lot of games but wasn't good enough to win many, so his grade went up but not his rank".

And generally, it holds true. Even when I was a lieutenant if I got matched up against a bunch of Grade 2 majors chances were that I was better than them, but they had just played a lot of games. The grade 0 guys are usually better than grade guys so why would you want your rank to look worse?

All this crap is utterly useless without it, and with it this game would be so much freaking fun.

I played it, it's crap, and people are dumb.

There will be some people that like any game, but this many people dropping 50 bucks on this crap is just sad.

I often wonder how the hell this kind of stuff happens, and then I wander into Gamestop or somewhere and see some stupid mom buying Madden 2005 for $29.99.

God I hate stupid people.

The PS3 has some great exclusives coming up for sure. FF13, God of War 3, MGS4, and LBP will probably all turn out great.

However, why in the hell to people continue mentioning Killzone 2 as a big exclusive coming out? Did we not go through all this before? The "Halo killer" Killzone 1 was hyped for a year the same way the sequel is now, and the final product couldn't even live up to a tenth of the hype it received, and most thought it was complete trash. It's like someone arguing that the 360 has all these great exclusives coming up and then including Kameo 2 in that list. A sequel to a shitty game is not something you list in your upcoming list of great exclusives.

I mean seriously, stop including this game in your list people as it instantly kills off any credibility you may have. Do people not realize that when people see someone make a list that includes Killzone 2 they just write that person off as an extreme fanboy and move on to the next post?

There are plenty of big upcoming PS3 exclusives, so stop looking like idiots by including Killzone 2 in that list and just stick to the ones that are actually going to be good. You're much better off with people thinking the PS3 has one less big exclusive coming up by leaving Killzone 2 out of it than you are by including that one extra game that ruins the credibility of your entire list.

Since I already have two 360's and a wii, I really have an itch to buy a PS3. I need a BR player, and I want to keep going on some of the franchises that I grew to love on the PS2 (God of War, Final Fantasy). Once they get this XMB thing actually working, I'll have a PS3 hooked up to that TV on that very day. But, seeing as how long "soon" tends to be for Sony (XMB, home, profile 2.0 for blu-ray) I'm not picking one up at their word that these things are coming in a hasty manner.

In short, quit screwing around and just give this to us already. If they can get this working at the same time the MGS4 bundle releases I'm in, any longer than that and I'll probably have lost interest and moved on.
