Gamestop shenanigans sell open games as 'new'
Mar 25th 2007 2:36PM (Joystiq)I like the whole pre-order b.s. too. I pre-ordered a 360 at launch and after a month of not recieving one after the release, I waited in line at best buy for 12 hours and got one. Needless to say, when I went back to Gamestop to get my money back.. they wanted to give me $400 in store credit.
I said "No! What the hell am I going to do with $400 store credit? I wanted a 360, you don't have it. I want my money back!!" After arguing with the guy behind the counter for a few minutes, he begrudgingly pulled out $400 out of the register drawers and handed it to me. That was the last time I did business with them.

Mar 25th 2007 2:00PM (Joystiq)An all-in-one unit, as they like to advertise it, is always prone to wear faster than stand alones. Not saying PS3 is in the same situation as Microsoft. I'm just saying that "Sony just makes better hardware" is not a very solid statement.

Mar 25th 2007 1:35PM (Joystiq)"...if you're referring to me, I'm still waiting, shit stick.
HAHAHA! Oh man, I couldn't have asked for a better response, though. Nothing is more fun than enraging a bunch of pissy little right-wing fanboys.
Abortion always seems to drag out the worst of the knuckle draggers."
(Pointless)
"I reiterate: it's a GOD damn shame you weren't a little fetus floating in the toilet however many years ago, Xbox fan (I'd guess around 7 years ago, judging by your posts). The gene pool would be SO much better off without your contaminated DNA in it.
I guess the upshot is that there's no way in Hell a drooler like you is ever going to get laid and breed.
...you should also seriously consider looking up the word 'hyperbole', you half-wit. And no, kiddo, it's not pronounced 'hyper-bowl'."
(Pointless)
"Man, and all this time, I always thought it was the 360 fanboys who were the most civilized.
...but some of you freaks have even more bile and vomit dribbling off your Cheeto-encrusted double chins than ANY Sony or Nintendo fan could ever hope to puke up from their irrational guts."
(Pointless)
"..I just hope I don't feel too bad about picking on retards in the morning.
I should really know better.."

Put it to rest and quit writing dipshit. You bore the hell out of me.

Please see to it that unintelligent, unfunny, mentally challenged, poor excuses for evolution past a monkey, sad, sorry, lifeless, idiotic pieces of dog fieces....like samfish here for example... are banned from posting comments and waisting peoples valuable and precious time. It is pretty clear that without an education and maturity level past that of a first grader.. he can no longer be trusted to form a point or coherent comment. Thank you for your time.
On to the post.. it will be interesting to see how this RROD situation plays out. With so many factors and varing cases.. it is hard to say where the problem is coming from. Are these issues still in the newer consoles? Do most cases involve faulty refurbished consoles?
All I know is that $400 is a lot for people to gamble with in purchasing a console that may or may not give them problems down the line. I myself still believe in the product.. but one thing is for sure. If Microsoft continues on the same course with refurbished units and warranty issues.. it is going to turn away potential customers. The price is the key factor. PS2 didn't suffer a huge blow in the same senario.. but $400 is quite a bit more money.
Let's hope these issues are addressed soon. So far it hasn't escalated past these online blogs or hurt business because developers are still anxious to jump on board and produce titles for the Microsoft brand. Now just get the quality under control.

Mar 25th 2007 2:59AM (Joystiq)I do, however, thank God every day for allowing abortion centers to exist. Every aborted baby increases the chances that a half-wit like you is never born. For similar reasons, I'm also grateful for miscarriages and coat hangers."
Aparently you aren't dying soon enough idiot. Nice abortion comments.
Anyways, back to the post. I've had a 360 since launch and have never had a problem. My roommate had gone through 3, but he plays his all the time. I think if you are using it all the time you are going to run into problems. I play for a few hours at a time and turn it off.

Mar 25th 2007 2:21AM (Joystiq)"What's really sad is that even though I've said several times I'd like to pick up a 360 one day myself, it's queefs like you and other obnoxious sons of bitches who sound like you that make me reconsider wanting a 360 even more than the frighteningly high failure rate."
So let me get this straight fucking "Moron to rule them all"... you don't even own a 360 but you're here to argue the issue? Did you just get out of a mental institution on good behavior and were granted supervised access to a computer?
"It's a f-cking video game console (that breaks over 50% of the time)."
Jesus Christ an ant is smarter that you are. So out of 11 million consoles sold.. 6 million have broken down. You are quite possibily the biggest fucking moron I've ever encountered. Just when I thought I've heard it all you come along and prove that there is no bigger idiot. You win dumb fuck. No one tops you.
"Every time I meet someone like you, whether it be on the internets or in real life, I just die a little bit inside. I've long since given up on weeping for mankind or cursing God for allowing people like you to exist.
I do, however, thank God every day for allowing abortion centers to exist. Every aborted baby increases the chances that a half-wit like you is never born. For similar reasons, I'm also grateful for miscarriages and coat hangers."
Wow, you sound like a lowlife piece of shit that forgot to take his meds this morning. First of all, there's only one INTERNET fucking retard... it's not plural!! Second, do us all a favor and never write anything EVER again.
Talk about someone talking out of their ass and spewing out the most fucked up, , ungodly mentally challenged remarks by the likes of which I have never encounter. Here's a toilet paper so that you can wipe your face with it. Another case of an absolutely pointless comment posted by another worthless piece of human debris.
Sorry for the rest of you that can keep focus on the post.. but dipshits that post comments about abortions should be put down like the lowlife scum that they are. Congratulations for showing everyone here today that you are just that Samfish. Now go fuck yourself.

I think Donnie is just trying to help, not intentionally give out false information. So quit over reacting and implying that people are trying to give MS a pass on anything. It is only those who have had no problems that don't feel justified in bashing Microsoft. Your biased hate against Microsoft is obviously showing through your comment.
