White Knight Chronicles, a bunch of PS2 JRPG's I can't remember the titles of(they weren't that good) and some SNES JRPG's allow for character creation. It hasn't been a recent feature.


Having character creation in a press demo is pretty dumb, the point of what the article is saying is that they spent so much time on the character creation and not on the game that it made the writer wonder if the game was even worth seeing. It's a reasonable complaint.

I think what he means is that most modern big budget RPG's include character creation as a standard. Fallout NV, Oblivion, Dark Souls, Dragon age, all modern RPG's and all include character creation.

They had some decent trailers for this showing the player character climbing all over big monsters Shadow of Collosus style... did they show any of that in the demo? Because I was a little drawn to the game after seeing the trailer.

But this is a really abysmal write up. I'm actually having a tough time believing the game is THAT bad based on what i've seen. Maybe the presenter was shitty?

While you may want it, full team voice chat wasn't available in the last battlefield either so all your surprised cries don't mean a thing.

Multiplayer isn't adding anything new or interesting to the series. Please, before you use the argument of "Your unwillingness to try welcome additions to games" doesn't even make sense, edit button or not.

There are plenty of other games with rushed, incomplete co-op experiences. Those games are still fun, i'm not saying ME3 co-op isn't going to be fun to play. But is it necessary? Not at all. Most people might argue it may hurt the single player campaign, unless it's designed by a seperate team.

Honestly i'd skip Mass Effect 3 because while ME2 was a good game, it was a little linear and ME3 seems like it's going the more scripted route. No doubt it'll be exciting, but personally, when I see multiplayer shit added on to a series... a single player dialogue RPG at that, it seems to me like they are running out of ideas.

I think it should be noted in regards to battlelog that they designed the less-than-standard way it starts the game up so they could save resources on the game client by not having a server browser or menu.

I dunno if you've noticed but Battlefield 3 alt+tabs really fast. Twice as fast as other games. Also you can close your browser down while you are playing, making the performance boost pretty slick.

Alot of people are complaining about battlelog and while yes, it does do things wrong, it's doing some other things right that I think are really cool new ideas in regards to performance.

Diablo 3 is looking waaaay more polished than the stuff we've seen in the past few years on it. Everything is starting to look in-line with what I thought D3 should look like. It looks great.

So the people who have been claiming that this is good for the industry don't have a leg to stand on anymore. I thought the whole point of this online pass shit was to curb gamestop's used sales. I guess not.



I guess it's actually about you not letting your friends borrow your games anymore. After all, isn't the developer just *losing money* when you lend a game to a friend for him to try out? *rolls eyes*

If you've spent more money on body mods than you have on performance, likely all you have is a slow car that looks stupid.

That's why "ricing" is a joke to pretty much anyone in the car community.

BTW: i'm asian, ricing isn't a racial term. You see more hispanic guys driving rice'd out hondas where I live. It doesn't mean asian people or anyone specific. Just any clot that paints his car purple and doesn't bother not making it a slow piece of shit.
