The actual people responsible for this have nothing to do with the development of the games. It's not like they took the actual game dev's time out of their workdays and had them work on a marketing stunt.

Pokemon + medieval Samurai warfare. What's not to love?

Overtime pay is nice, but WITH overtime pay your typical QA tester might make 25k to 30k a year.

No idea, but I was once an associate QA lead (read: one step up from bottom rung) and I made about half that.

It's not DLC when it's on the disk. By definition.

You're right, of course.

Super-generic washed-out art style.

From a visual standpoint, Game of Thrones is all about pageantry contrasted against violence, poverty, and desperation, basically. This is just grey.

(The show got that wrong too, as far as I'm concerned).

Ok, I admit, that was exaggerated a little bit. Radiant Dawn's animations weren't HORRIBLE.

But they were significantly less fluid and less interesting than the animations and character designs on the three GBA Fire Emblems.

Also, Shadow Dragon: That one combined the worst of both worlds. It was a travesty.

Still 3D. Alas. Intelligent Systems has some of the best 2D animators and artists in the business, and they are HORRIBLE at animating in 3D, yet they keep doing 3D games. I do not get it.

Sounds like a bleak, horrific future.
