Kyocera Echo: a dual-screen Android gaming phone with two launch games

Feb 7th 2011 8:51PM (Joystiq)
Mmm...I am guessing they believe the clam-shell style allows for portability and at the same time offer a 'bigger' screen this way. I am just not sure this is what the market is asking for in all honesty.

@bxgt The difference being that any game you make for Iphone could be use on ANY Iphone and Ipod Touch (of course there are new ones coming that older models won't be able to play).

As for this, Android OS is available in MANY platforms and most developers make there games so it can work on as many Android Phones as possible...making a game (or any app for that matter) that uses the functions of this cellphone limits your potential Android market (which is pretty big, but somewhat fragmented) to just one Android cellphone...this one. You can probably see where the bad idea to developed (unless it sells MILLIONS of units) comes from.

@Dalrint I belive the mention it was around the time the PSPgo last. Don't quote me on that since I am answering from memory...but I am pretty sure they did mention that (or might had been the PSP 3000...I just know they mention it last as long as current PSP).

@gatotsu911 I remember seeing the concept art of Metroid Prime 1 and dreaming, drooling, WISHING that the would had pack and artbook featuring the artwork when you pre-order Metroid Prime 1. Alas that dream never came :(...I still wish they would release a book of that art :(

@Coldplay619 I love Other M, story elements are somewhat a miss here and there, but I don't mind it, now gameplay I got nothing to complaing expect the point at the screen thing can be a bit tricky and confusing and of course the health and rocket thing...so used to killing enemies to get it that it felts weird that enemies don't drop stuff xP (but that is more nitpicking than saying is a bad thing), still I find the game to be very good in my opinion.

Mortal Kombat and MK: Annihilation Blu-rays include costume for game

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze Agreed on that...Mortal Kombat is still my favorite movie based on a game and Prince of Persia was actually pretty enjoyable.

Not like there is much to pick for good movie based on games really. When they manage to make Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-li EVEN worse than Street Fighter II...there is simply not much hope for this kind of movies.

@Jack Kevorkian I cringe when my girlfriend made me get it. But to my surprise it was a passable fun game. Not something I would personally get but I had enough fun playing it with her to make to worth it.

But as you can guess, is short in contect in all honesty. Still I am not saying to get it...but if your significant other makes you get it, you might not have such a bad time playing it xP
