Diamonds are forever, and so are Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D save files

Exactly. No need for angry comments, just don't buy their shit, then watch them sweat and scratch their heads wondering why sales are so bad. They'll get the message eventually.

Silent Hill: Downpour preview: Shattered Homecoming

Shall we get the revolutionary, state-of-the-art, cutting-edge inverted Y-axis this time...? The suspense is killing me!

Silent Hill: Book of Memories is multiplayer, not made by Vatra

Multiplayer? Aaaand there goes my interest in this game...
Good thing the HD Collection is coming to PS3, it's been a very long time since I last played SH2&3.

Gravity preview: Falling in slow motion

The glimpses of the game included in the mash-up Vita trailer immediately piqued my curiosity.
The PSV would be a perfect fit for action/puzzle games like Trine or Outland, and Sony's Japan Studio have proven that they have a knack for coming up with ingenious gameplay ideas and unique-looking games(LocoRoco, Patapon, Echochrome).

Wii U is 1080p; has HDMI out, internal flash memory, SD and USB storage support

Dammit, you're confusing me now! Who should I boo? Who should I cheer? Am I even in the crowd or am I merely a boo or a cheer, to be eructed skyward only to be swept away when the next wave of boos and cheers washes over the auditorium? ARGH!

A proprietary format derived from Blu-Ray, if the rumours are true - kind of a BD-custom.

Nintendo E3 2011 keynote, live from the Nokia Theater

Starfox, Zelda, Kid Icarus, Mario, Luigi, Mario Kart. Nintendo fans will be ecstatic, others will be underwhelmed - as expected so far. Now bring on the new console!

LittleBigPlanet (PS Vita) preview: Touched by a Sackboy

@mrantimatter Sony probably learned a lesson or twelve from the PS3 launch, which was all, "We're so powerful you'll be willing to sell a kidney to buy our $599 machine!"
They also didn't spend too much time on the non-gaming features. There will be plenty of time for that later, I think it was a smart decision to devote their limited presentation time to games, games and more games.

All in all, between the reasonable pricing and the very solid "launch window" line-up, I'd say the PSV is off to a better start than the PS3 and PSP ever were.
Sure, $249 is not cheap, but it doesn't feel overpriced - I think everybody expected it to be more in the $300 range. I'll be surprised if Nintendo don't announce a 3DS price drop to $199 sooner rather than later.

Of course there's a Ridge Racer game for PlayStation Vita

Shut up and go away with your sensible sensibleness, you Mister Sensible Grown-Up Talk. This is not a place for calm and reasonable arguments. THIS IS THE INTERNET!

Microsoft press conference wrapup: So much Kinect, with a splash of Halo 4

Jun 6th 2011 3:12PM (Joystiq)
@TheDarkWayne
I doubt the 360 will get three more Halos. I'd bet on Halo 5 as a launch (or "launch window") title for the next Xbox - that would certainly help it fly off the shelves.
