I've been waiting and waiting for this feature to see the light of day.

This keyboard would rock... it would be worth more than my PC.

Discounted Doom, Pac-Man CE top Amazon XBLA Store

Apr 14th 2009 12:12PM (Joystiq Xbox)
These are the kind of deals that MS should be offering directly.

Their current discounts through MS are few and far between... just since this has been announced by Amazon, we've seen terrific deals. Hopefully they will continue.

Puzzle Quest: Galactrix beams down to XBLA on April 8 [update]

Apr 2nd 2009 11:30PM (Joystiq)
I'm looking forward to this one... based on reviews of the PC/DS version, it isn't an automatic buy. I'll have to wait and see how the trial plays out. I am very excited about this title and Magic the Gathering.

Some creators disappointed with XNA Community Games sales

Mar 30th 2009 12:39PM (Joystiq)
I've bought Carnivale, Miner Dig Deep and downloaded a bunch of other community titles.

I think the developers should price them 200-400. I think that is the sweet spot. Why Carnivale was a community game and not a regular XBLA release is beyond me... it is superb.

Lots of good titles on there to try out though.

Original Call of Duty rated for PSN, Xbox Live

Mar 26th 2009 1:58PM (Joystiq)
Call of Duty 1, still sells for $20 on Steam for PC.

I'm betting they will charge 1600 ms points for this... if so, no sale for me. I'll skip it.

If it is 800 and includes single-player and multiplayer then I'm in.

MS has a habit lately of pricing stuff too high. There are several titles out right now, that if they were 400 instead of 800, or 800 instead of 1600, I'd be purchasing on XBLA.

SXSW 2009: Gaming as a Gateway Drug: Getting Girls Interested in Technology

Mar 23rd 2009 2:01PM (Joystiq)
So why is it that society or the gaming industry seems compelled to draw women into the creation of video games... game developement...?

Or for them to play video games or try to get them to play games outside of casual games?

If video games as a whole don't appeal to females... why is it that were are trying to change that in a fundamental way?

If women aren't into games, why is society dictating that they must, or that they are missing out on something?

I have a 4 year old daughter... I'm into gaming... if she never shows an interest in it, I'm not going to try to force her into enjoying it... she either likes it or she doesn't. It would be cool if she showed some interest in it, so we would have something else in common, but no big deal is she doesn't.

pretty informative, and a new one each week.

Jcarpio... good topic discussion.

I've been suprised by the good quality and addictiveness of some of the xna games...
Carivale and The Miner Dig Deep are both really good.
