Why is this labeled as a rumor? As if some enterprising fellow created all these meshes and textures, and made fake screenshots within the last day since the whole AC3 thing got leaked.

I agree, but journalists worth anything need to be apt in both. They have to be able to write well, create interesting articles that keep you sticking around, but they also need to deliver the news in a timely fashion.

And yes, IGN and Kotaku are both god awful. I was just kind of using them as examples, that three major outlets will tend to cover the same stuff, and that Joystiq tends to be the odd man out.

Really that's my whole issue with Joystiq. It doesn't even matter that it's this one particular story, it's that they're consistently behind on what every other blog is writing about. On any given day I can go on over to Destructoid or IGN, or hell even Kotaku if I feel like I hate myself enough, and there will be plenty to read that Joystiq either glosses over entirely, or waits half a week to bother getting around to.

@Ellimem It has nothing to do with being early, and everything to do with being late to a story every credible game and consumer site is reporting on. Also it is game related. It's about a controller, gaming conventions, and figureheads in the gaming journalism realm.

Just get Sonic CD. It's a much better game, and it's sitting around the same price as 4. If you just have to buy a 2D Sonic game, just get CD. There's literally no reason to settle for 4.

Anyone want to start taking bets on how late Joystiq is going to be on the whole Ocean Marketing story?

He signed away our right to due process just recently, and even I agree that buying Just Dance 3 is the dumbest thing he's done. What's next, Obama? Going with Origin over Steam? Get the heck outta here
