Fez hits XBLA on April 13 for 800 MSP

Mar 28th 2012 10:10PM (Joystiq)
Oh my god he said hurtful things! I HOPE THIS GAME BOMBS!!!

Seriously people, who cares? If I avoided a piece of entertainment every time some douchebag was involved in it, I wouldn't really get to do much. I'll try the demo , and I'll hope that the game is good, just like I do with every game on XBLA that looks interesting.

277 GAME stores shuttered, 40% of workforce let go, gift cards suspended

Mar 26th 2012 4:34PM (Joystiq)
"The sketchiest changes include the suspension of gift cards and GAME reward cards. The company will also no longer take pre-orders and "no refunds can be given for any pre-order deposits which have been paid."

Wow, what a genius move. I am shocked that the bright minds that run GAME have let it go under. Absolutely stunned.

Child's Play shuts down fundraiser aimed at changing Mass Effect 3's ending

@A Sandwich

You're right, they are too smart to get mixed in this. That is why they shut down the fundraiser.

They run Child's Play, they obviously had nothing to do with this stupid initiative.

Fables won't tell tales until Q3 2012

When I first saw "Fables" I figured it would be Peter Molyneaux's first project away from the Fable team.

Exploring the Kingdoms of Amalur with Big Huge Games' Sean Dunn

@Altairio They may have "failed", but I still have all 6 faction quests because GASP, I bought the game new. It's not a big deal at all.

Now ME3 has some BS. Amalur is perfectly fine. Just buy the damn game new.

"As fate would have it, Curt Schilling's 38 Studios swept in to acquire the ailing developer."

I get it joystiq... I get it. You clever bastards.

The Joystiq Indie Pitch: EvilQuest

Feb 20th 2012 10:42PM (Joystiq)
Probably the best game I've played on XBLIG this year so far. It reminds me a lot of Crystalis (as they said). I was pretty shocked by the quality of the story, dialogue, and boss fights. RPG elements are well done. Regular combat is solid enough, though I'd love to see that worked on more for a sequel. The music is pretty good too.

But yeah, for $1, if you like Crystalis/old school Zelda, give it a go in my opinion. Looking forward to a sequel!

The Joystiq Indie Pitch: DLC Quest

I got this a while back. It's not much of a "game", but it is a pretty awesome satire on the industry as a whole. Well worth the whole $1 you need to get it.

Report: XBLA prices rising (slowly), Summer of Arcade review scores dropping

Feb 4th 2012 3:24PM (Joystiq)
I'm so tired of people yearning for the days of 400 MSP games... do you guys not see the dramatic bump in quality of the games being released on XBLA since then?

XBLA House Party kicks off on Feb. 15 with Warp

Jan 23rd 2012 3:27PM (Joystiq)
This is a great lineup. Some new IPs, genre variety, and a few games with some big time hype surrounding them.

Also, very glad they are back to giving full out MSP for buying all of them instead of a game I may or may not want.
