Conversely PSN Store Japan only has a small selection of actual PS3 games to download & PS+ never has anything other than a few icons an a 15 minute trial. We have yet to have any beta's on PS+ in Japan.

@(Unverified) Depends what games you are playing I suppose, but I find theres almost always someone to talk to on PS3 games. Anything like socom or FPS everyone uses headsets.

@MEMgrizzlies7 If the headset has an ear bud that goes into your ear, it will hurt after a while. I picked up a $10 no-brand headset that has a low mound rather than an in-ear thing. It never runs out of charge & is almost unnoticeable to wear. Much better than any expensive headset Ive previously had.

@Dark Archon PSN Archonik XBL Dar I'd have to disagree that its Googles fault about youtube sucking on PS3 browser.
The PS3 browser is fairly sucky & hasnt been updated in many years.
Sony needs to put a little effort into updating it.
Its probably on par with Mac IE5.0 from the 90's, I even suspect it is little different from the PS2 browser ;-)

Some elements of youtube are a bit excludatory in terms of how they work though.
For example the search button uses javascript that doesnt work on old browsers (including PS3)
If you have a keyboard for your PS3 you can type in the search box & press "enter" to submit your search - that works. But the search button itself will not work.

At some point web developers have to draw a line with what browsers to support, based on user numbers & quality. I think the PS3 browser is below the line on both counts.

@commenter7 yeah, I realise its probably not that simple but creating a segregated version of youtube just seems like the totally wrong direction when whats really needed is a decent browser for both consoles.

I mean if they go down that route then we need special version of youtube, then a special version of facebook, etc, etc.

PS3 already has a browser, it just needs updating to be better.
360 needs a browser, surely MS can work that out?

The PS3 version of youtube (pictured) is horrible to use because it lacks about 80% of the features of youtube. I always click the link "Standard version" & browse the normal youtube. There are one or two things that dont work correctly, but its useable.

The problems are
a) the xbox 360 has no browser &
b) the PS3 browser is crap.

I don't find any fun in fighting games like Tekken anymore. Not sure why.
Kinda sad really, I used to be such a huge fan.
oh well, I guess our tastes just change.

@acme64 Exactly. I mean why would they make an App you pay for & then say it only works with Sony recorded clips? Don't they want to sell the App to the other people?

@Jack Kevorkian I wondered what that that was supposed to mean too. Its USA only, so I have no exposure to it or any idea how popular it is.
